This village has eleven tongkonans, each of which has a rice barn on the roof. The roof is made of bamboo overgrown with a variety of wild plants. This is due to the age of the tongkonan house which has hundreds of years. The structure of the building is quite unique because it is made of iron wood, so it still stands strong today. Now, tongkonan is no longer inhabited. Because basically a tongkonan house is owned by a large family, so it cannot be owned by an individual. So, the local people built new houses behind the tongkonan.
